Dear Parents and Students:
Kids Nest Learning Center is a unique private school with homeschooling and tutoring services. This center serves our children in a changing world with a Christ-centered view. Our children are requiring more problem solving and critical thinking skills in this changing atmosphere. The following situations are the changes that our children are facing today.
They are:
- Northern suburban Georgia, including Gainesville, is number one in human trafficking.
- Gainesville has one of the highest caseloads for foster children placement, including to the point of placing children in hotels and motels.
- The rate of poverty had increased nearly 20% making Georgia in the range 40 to 50 compared to other states.
- Educational systems are impacted by these statistics through poor academic achievement, developmental delays, behavioral and emotional problems, and abuse.
- In Georgia 63% of our children live in lower socio-economic conditions, and only 34% children are proficient readers.
- In 2015 our students were 17th in reading and 26th in math in international tests.
- Division in our country is increasing in violence.
- Moral standards changing that may in the near future include rights for pedophiles.
This is center is here to address these statistics by providing an educational entity that provides for children- regardless of background, ethnicity, or economic status. In fact, in the future, we hope that student body will comprise of a student body that has 30% children from lower income families. We want to offer these services for these children at affordable prices.
This school is designed on the foundation of four educational entities: Finland, New Hope Academy in Franklin, Tennessee, Lindamood Bell, and Mustard Seed School in New Jersey.
All these places serve all children-foster care children, inner city children, children of poverty, and all children of socioeconomic status with tremendous success. New Hope Academy especially represents this model.
Our heart is to aid our children in having a more positive future with hope from a Christ- centered environment.
