Hi Sommer, thank you for reaching out to us!

When you are viewing your student list, there is an purple button that says “Visible Columns”. If you click that, you can select to view “Last Login” and this will show you if the parent has been using the Portal.

Yes, the secondary parent also receives lesson notes if the “Send Reminder Emails” option is checked off in the family details. If you have multiple teachers, you might want to look into upgrading to a multi-teacher account. It is only $3.95 per each additional teacher.

For transparency reasons, the “Note to Child” is always sent with parent notes. So even if there are no notes for the child, the email will still show that field so that the parent is aware that there were no notes left for the child.

Now that I have been using MSB for awhile, I have a few questions:

Is there a way to “see” or be notified if a parent has activated their Portal access? If not, you may want to consider adding that as an option so that teachers can know which parents might need assistance and follow up with them.

Also, will a secondary parent also receive the lesson notes? I am really wanting the student’s teacher to also receive the lesson notes and was thinking of putting the teacher’s email in the secondary parent slot.

If there is no comment to be added to the child does the Note to Child need to appear? It would be nice if only the field where a note is added is shown in the email.
